Minimum charge: 2 hours. After that we bill in 15-minute blocks. You don’t pay for a full hour because we ran ten minutes over.

What we move

House and apartment moves in Pukekohe

Whole-house furniture removals across Pukekohe and Franklin — from a one-bedroom unit off King Street to a four-bedroom on a lifestyle block out past Ramarama. Beds dismantled and rebuilt, whiteware disconnected and set back up, everything blanket-wrapped before it goes near the truck.

We know the local access problems because we deal with them weekly: long metal driveways on the lifestyle blocks, tight new-build streets in Belmont and Anselmi Ridge, and the pull up Pukekohe Hill with a loaded 45m³.

(Household contents only. If you need an entire building lifted onto a transporter, that’s house relocation — a different trade, and we’ll point you to someone who does it.)

Office and commercial moves

Shop, office and warehouse relocations across Franklin. We work evenings and weekends so your business isn’t shut on a Tuesday — desks, workstations, server racks, filing, stock and shelving, labelled and reinstated by room so your staff walk in Monday and get straight to work.

Free on-site walkthrough and a written fixed quote for any commercial job. Insurance certificates and a method statement for building managers on request.

Packing and unpacking

Book the crew for packing and we’ll do the lot the day before — kitchen, wardrobes, garage, the shed nobody wants to touch. Or buy the materials off us and pack it yourself.

  • Full pack — everything boxed, labelled by room, inventory list
  • Part pack — kitchen, glassware and artwork only, you do the rest
  • Unpack — boxes emptied, contents onto shelves, cartons taken away
  • Boxes, tape, bubble wrap, wine cartons and portarobes for sale or hire

Packing is charged at your job’s hourly rate. Fair warning, and it’s in every mover’s fine print in the country: boxes you pack yourself usually sit outside the standard transit cover. If it matters, let us pack it.

Storage between settlement dates

Settlement dates don’t always line up. If yours don’t, we’ll load out, hold your furniture in dry secure storage, and deliver in when you get the keys — one crew, one company, no double handling and no second removal fee.

Short-term by the week, long-term by the month. Ask for the rate when you get your quote.

Why book a mover who’s already in Pukekohe

Search “movers Pukekohe” and you’ll get a Hamilton company, a Cambridge company, two Manukau companies and a page that’s been broken for months. Their trucks start the day 45 to 90 minutes away, and somebody has to pay for that drive. On most of their rate cards it’s a $55 to $100 callout fee before a single box is lifted.

We start the day in Pukekohe.

That means:

  • No callout fee inside Franklin. The truck’s already here.
  • We can do same-day and next-day. No committing an Auckland crew to an hour on the motorway each way.
  • We know the roads. SH22 down from Drury, the Bombay Hills gradient, which Anselmi Ridge streets a 45m³ can actually turn around in, which metal driveways need the small truck.
  • Something goes wrong, we’re ten minutes away. Not on the Southern Motorway at 4pm.

Franklin is one of the fastest-growing parts of New Zealand — Pukekohe is up about 32% in a decade to roughly 27,000 people, Pokeno has more than doubled since 2018, Tuakau is up 31% since 2013, and Drury is consented for up to 60,000 residents over the next 25 to 30 years. Drury and Paerātā stations opened on 2 August 2026. A lot of people are moving here. We’d rather it was us moving them than a truck from out of town.

Four steps, no surprises

  1. Tell us what you’ve got. Ring us or send the form. Rooms, stairs, driveway, big items, dates. Two minutes.
  1. Get a written quote. Hourly rate, estimated hours, crew size, truck size, in writing, same day. If we come and look first, that’s free.
  1. Moving day. We arrive in the booked window and ring you if traffic is against us. Everything wrapped, loaded, driven, unloaded and placed in the room you want it in.
  1. Pay when it’s done. Bank transfer or card on completion. Invoice with the hours itemised. No deposit for standard residential jobs.

Pukekohe moving questions

How much do movers cost in Pukekohe? Two movers and a truck start at $115 an hour including GST, with no callout fee anywhere in Franklin. A typical two-bedroom move runs $405–$675 and a three-bedroom $675–$1,085. There’s a two-hour minimum, then we bill in 15-minute blocks.

Do you charge a callout or travel fee? Not inside Franklin. We’re based in Pukekohe, so there’s nothing to charge you for. Most companies ranking for “movers Pukekohe” are driving from Manukau, Onehunga, Hamilton or Cambridge and add $55–$100 before they start. Outside Franklin we charge travel at the hourly rate from the district boundary, and we tell you the figure before you book.

How far ahead do I need to book? A week is comfortable. We can often do next-day, and sometimes same-day, because our trucks are already in Pukekohe. January to March is the busiest stretch in New Zealand and Fridays and month-end settlements go first — book two to three weeks out for those.

Do you move on weekends or after hours? Yes, seven days, and evenings by arrangement. No weekend loading on the hourly rate.

Are you house movers? Not in the New Zealand sense of the term. “House movers” here usually means relocating an entire building on a transporter — that’s a specialist trade with resource consents and pilot vehicles. We move household contents: furniture, appliances, boxes, the lot. If you need a whole building shifted, ring us anyway and we’ll point you to the right people.

Is my furniture insured? We carry goods-in-transit cover on every job plus public liability for the property, and we’ll give you the policy details and excess in writing before you book. Note that boxes you pack yourself normally fall outside standard transit cover — that’s an industry-wide restriction, not just ours.

Can you move a piano, pool table or spa pool? Yes, with the right gear and crew. Tell us when you get your quote so we bring the piano trolley and enough hands. Upright pianos and pool tables are priced as an add-on to your hourly rate.

Do you do lifestyle blocks and rural properties? Constantly. Ramarama, Bombay, Buckland, Glenbrook, out past Karaka. Long metal driveways, gates, sheds and outbuildings, and enough truck capacity to do it in one trip rather than three. Tell us about the driveway when you book so we send the right truck.

Do you sell boxes? Yes — book and archive cartons, tea chests, portarobes, picture cartons, wine cartons, tape, bubble wrap and paper. Buy them, or hire crates and give them back after the move. We can drop them to you in Pukekohe before moving day.

Can you store my furniture between settlement dates? Yes. We load out, store it dry and secure, and deliver in when your keys come through. One crew both ends, so you’re not paying two companies to handle the same couch twice.

Do you move offices and shops? Yes, across all of Franklin, usually after hours or at the weekend so you don’t lose a trading day. Free on-site walkthrough and a written fixed quote, plus insurance certificates for building managers if they need them.

What areas do you cover? Pukekohe, Pukekohe East, Buckland, Tuakau, Glenbrook, Bombay, Ramarama, Karaka, Pokeno, Waiuku and Drury, plus Patumāhoe, Paerata, Papakura, Takanini, Mercer and Te Kauwhata. We also do Auckland-wide and Waikato moves at the same hourly rate.
